Sunset Autumn Moon Festival

Tue, Dec 22 2020, 3:58 - 4:58pm

Please join me along with Supervisor Katy Tang this weekend for food, family, and fun as we host the Sunset Autumn Moon Festival!

Saturday, September 12
10 AM-3 PM
Irving Street between 22nd & 25th Avenues in San Francisco

The festival features performances by lion dancers, martial artists, Chinese folk dancers, Guzheng music, and a performance by the Ah Lan Dance and Qipao Queen contest winners.  We will also have over 50 neighborhood restaurants, businesses and non-profit organizations sharing their wares with the community.

The Autumn Moon Festival is an Asian tradition dating back over a thousand years.  It closely coincides with the fall equinox, when the moon is full and bright.  The timing marks the end of the summer harvest, making the festival an occasion to give thanks for the bounty of land.

Please visit my staff and me at our booth, where we will host a mobile district office and discuss legislative issues.  I hope to see you at this celebration and share some delicious moon cakes!  For further information, please call 415-557-2312.
