Avoid Traffic from Holiday Weekend Closure on I-280!

United States

Tue, Dec 22 2020, 3:58 - 4:58pm

On August 28 the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close all Northbound Interstate 280 travel from the Highway 101 interchange to downtown San Francisco.  Traffic will be redirected onto Northbound Highway 101 with different detour options.

This closure will be ongoing and begins at 2:00 p.m. on August 28 and ends at 5:00 a.m. on September 2.

Caltrans expects significant traffic delays.  Therefore, whenever possible, please plan alternate travel routes.  Caltrans strongly recommends dialing 511 or checking with 511.org for current traffic conditions and taking public transportation through the weekend.

Further information about the I-280 closure is available here.
