Ting Emergency Budget Measure Allocates Up to $1 Billion to Broadly Combat COVID19 in CA

Assemblymember Phil Ting (D-San Francisco) urged lawmakers on March 16 to pass SB 89, allocating up to $1 billion from the state budget to respond the COVID-19 pandemic. After approval in both houses, Governor Newsom signed the emergency measure on March 17.
