How Would You Improve Government Through Technology?
Assemblymember Phil Ting is requesting submissions for his “There Ought to be a Law” Contest. Residents of the 19th Assembly District are invited to submit a technology-themed legislative proposal, no later than Friday, January 3, 2014. Please take this opportunity to share your idea for how to use technology to make state government more efficient, more transparent and more accessible to the public.
Contestants must meet the following requirements:
- Live within the 19th Assembly District – go to http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/ to confirm your residence is in the District.
- Fill out and submit the entry form below. You can also call (415) 557-2312 to request an entry form.
Assemblymember Ting will select one legislative proposal for consideration to be introduced as part of his official legislative package. The winner will be invited to a luncheon with the Assemblymember to discuss the idea. Submissions will be accepted online or by e-mail, mail, walk-in, or fax to the District Office and must be received by Friday, January 3, 2014. One entry per person.
