Oct 16 Bike Fair

I am proud to announce that my annual bike safety fair is returning after taking a year off due to the pandemic. This event, as in years past, will be held outside. We will also be following COVID safety protocol. These include: requiring masks for all participants over the age of 2, requiring phone numbers of all attendees for potential contact tracing, and prohibiting those with COVID symptoms from attending the event.

Please bring the whole family; kids of all ages can get training on how to ride a bike safely, learn about the Safe Routes to School program, and hear about legislation that affects our community.

Bringing your own bike is encouraged, but there is NO NEED TO BRING A BIKE. Bikes will be available to borrow.

This event includes: bicycle obstacle course for safety training; bike riding lessons; bike safety adjustments and repairs; helmet giveaway and more. Thanks to our partners: YBike, Aptos PTSA, San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, WalkSF, Bay Area Bike Mobile and Ocean Cyclery.

Public Transit: K-Ingleside Muni light rail at Aptos Ave.

Please note, only folding bicycles are allowed on light rail cars. Help spread the word by printing the flyer below! For any questions, please contact my district office at (415) 557-2312.
