October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time for us to come together to support survivors, raise awareness, and recommit to ending the cycle of violence in our communities.
*Light refreshments and snacks will be available.
The program will include remarks from elected officials, such as Senator Scott Wiener and City Attorney David Chiu, along with community leaders. You’ll also be able to connect with domestic violence service providers and gather resources for yourself and your community.
It means a great deal to me to mark this month with our community. By standing together, we send a powerful message that survivors are not alone and that we are committed to building a future free from violence.
