TING PRAISES NEW SISTER STATE AGREEMENT WITH CHINA’S GUANDONG PROVINCE
(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Governor Jerry Brown announced a sister state/province relationship yesterday between the State of California and China’s Guandong Province. Among other goals, the agreement calls for the growth of trade and investment as well as stronger ties in science and technology, low-carbon development, environmental conservation, clean energy, education, and cultural exchange. Assemblymember Phil Ting (D-San Francisco, Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Asia/California Trade and Investment Promotion, released the following statement about the agreement.
