(Sacramento) – Assembly Budget Committee Chair Phil Ting (D-San Francisco), Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount), and the Chairs of the five budget subcommittees met with the media to discuss the Assembly budget plan developed through over 70 hearings. Ting says the result is a Responsible Budget for a Stronger Middle Class, which has prioritizes preparing for future economic downturns to avoid budgeting mistakes of the past by including as robust reserve; fighting poverty and assisting seniors and the disabled; investing in our future – from early education to higher education; cleaning our air and water; expanding economic development; investing in safer communities; and oversight.
