It's the Year of the Rabbit! I began celebrating the Lunar New Year with other Asian American Pacific Islander leaders at the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington D.C., then participated in San Francisco's annual Chinese New Year parade. Now, I want to commemorate the occasion with you!

Please join me, along with State Treasurer Fiona Ma, State Controller Malia Cohen, State Board of Equalization Member Sally Lieber, State Senator Scott Wiener and Assemblymember Matt Haney, for a Lunar New Year celebration.

The event will include free entertainment, snacks and tea (not at taxpayers' expense). It will take place on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 2-3:30 p.m. at the State Building:
