It's Time To Vote

The California Primary is June 7. Under our new California Voter Choice Act, every registered voter is sent a ballot in the mail. Many of you have probably already received it.

If you are not registered to vote, please do so by clicking here before the May 23 deadline to ensure you receive a mail-in ballot on time. You can also use that same link to check your registration status or change your information. 

Mail-In Ballots

To avoid crowds and ensure your ballot is received well before Election Day, I recommend filling it out and returning it as soon as you can via:

• US Mail: Take it to a post office or mailbox; your ballot must be postmarked no later than June 7. No postage necessary.
• Drop-Off Locations up to 8 p.m. on Election Day: Bring to any of the sites listed here.

Early In-Person Voting

Even though you received a mail-in ballot, early in-person voting is still an option, especially if you need physical assistance or want to use accessible voting equipment. The San Francisco City Hall Voting Center is located on the ground floor of 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place. They are open:

• Every weekday (except Memorial Day, May 30): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• The last two weekends (May 28-29 & June 4-5): 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Election Day, June 7

On Election Day, June 7, you can vote in-person or drop off your ballot at your polling place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you haven't registered to vote by the May 23 deadline, you can conditionally register and cast a provisional ballot on Election Day.
