Third Annual Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival

United States

Tue, Dec 22 2020, 3:58 - 4:58pm

I’m thrilled to join Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer in hosting the Third Annual San Francisco Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival.

Autumn Moon Festivals have been held throughout Asia for well over 1,000 years. The celebrations are a time to reflect upon the bounty of the summer harvest, the fullness of the moon, and the myth of the immortal moon Goddess, Chang-O. The Moon Festival is often considered a “Chinese Thanksgiving” because of its celebration of gratitude and inclusion of abundant food - including the popular moon cake.

Sound fun? Then please join us:

San Francisco Pride Parade 2019

United States

Tue, Dec 22 2020, 3:58 - 4:58pm

Pride 2019Please join me in taking a stand for equal rights for everyone. Come and march with me in the annual San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade, which is the largest LGBTQ gathering in the nation.

With the current national climate that encourages suspicion and distrust of “others,” it is important now more than ever that we come together to celebrate diversity in our community.

This year's Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

The parade route begins south of Market Street (close to the Embarcadero MUNI/BART station and the Transbay Terminal) and runs to the San Francisco Civic Center. We will be meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the Financial District; once Pride Parade organizers notify me of the precise meeting location, I will send the information to those who RSVP.  Friends marching with us will receive a commemorative t-shirt and great memories! After we march, marchers who are RSVP’d are invited to join me for refreshments on the 14th floor of the State Building overlooking the celebration in Civic Center. The State Building is close to the Civic Center MUNI/BART station.

Please invite your friends and family. As always, if you need legislative information or assistance with state government, be sure to contact my office at (415) 557-2312.

I hope to see you on June 30!
