San Francisco Pride Parade 2022

United States

Sun, Jun 26 2022, 10:30am - 12:00pm

Please join me and multi-generations of people as we honor the past and march with hope for the future in the annual San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade.

With the current national climate that encourages suspicion and distrust of “others,” it is important now more than ever that we come together to celebrate diversity in our community.

This year's Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

The parade route begins south of Market Street (close to the Embarcadero MUNI/BART station and the Transbay Terminal) and runs to the San Francisco Civic Center. We will be meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the Financial District; once Pride Parade organizers notify me of the precise meeting location, I will send the information to those who RSVP.  Friends marching with us will receive a commemorative t-shirt and make great memories!

Please invite your friends and family. Lunch will be served at an outdoor reception, co-hosted by your San Francisco delegation: me, Senator Scott Wiener and Assemblymember Matt Haney. Location will be provided to marchers at the end of the parade. ** UPDATE: RSVPs to the post parade lunch reception are now closed. However, you can still still march with us. Please call the office at 415-557-2312, Mon-Friday, 9:00 am - 5 pm, to be added to that list.**

I look forward to seeing you all on June 26!

Virtual Town Hall

United States

Sat, Nov 13 2021, 10:00 - 11:30am

I encourage you to attend my next virtual town hall meeting to hear updates on the budget and new laws that will go into effect now that we have finished our legislative year in Sacramento. Through the state budget, I was able to secure nearly $12 billion to fund homelessness programs, including measures to prevent homelessness in the first place; this includes $47 million for San Francisco and more than $4 million for San Mateo County. We also provided $180 million to increase UC and CSU enrollment by 15,000 in-state students, and we increased per-student TK-12 spending to a record high of $21,000.

I also was able to secure more than $40 million dollars in the state budget for projects in San Francisco and northern San Mateo County. In addition, Governor Newsom signed six of my bills into law that focus on health, environment and the criminal justice system. Click here for information on my 2021 legislation.

As we ramp up for the next legislative year, come share your concerns and ideas regarding what the state can further do for San Francisco and San Mateo County.
