Fourth Annual Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival

It’s my honor to once again join Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer in hosting the San Francisco Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival. But this year, due to COVID-19, we are taking things online. While we will miss seeing you, it will still be fun. So, grab some mooncake and enjoy the entertainment, such as a wushu/kung fu performance, children’s dance and craft demonstrations.

DATE: Saturday, September 26
TIME: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

or Zoom (Register here)

Autumn Moon Festivals have been held throughout Asia for well over 1,000 years. The celebrations are a time to reflect upon the bounty of the summer harvest, the fullness of the moon, and the myth of the immortal moon Goddess, Chang-O. The Moon Festival is often considered a "Chinese Thanksgiving" because of its celebration of gratitude and inclusion of abundant food - including the popular moon cake.

This event is co-hosted by the Richmond Neighborhood Center, the Clement Street Merchants Association and the Community Youth Center. Big thanks to them and our business sponsors for their generosity in helping to bring our community together virtually.
