After a two-year hiatus, the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade is returning next month. Please join me in this joyous celebration of the LGBTQ community, as we march together in the parade on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
With the current national climate that encourages the distrust of "others" and threatens to erase the histories of marginalized communities, it is crucial that we openly come together to celebrate our diversity. Under this year's theme, "Love Will Keep Us Together," we will unite to honor the LGBTQ community's past, while marching with hope for the future.
The parade route begins south of Market Street (close to the Embarcadero MUNI/BART station) and runs to the San Francisco Civic Center. We will be meeting at 10 a.m. in the Financial District; once Pride Parade organizers notify me of the precise meeting location, I will send the information to those who RSVP. Friends marching with us will receive a commemorative t-shirt and make great memories.
Please RSVP here to attend the parade with us, and invite your friends and family to join us. Lunch will be served at an outdoor reception, co-hosted by your San Francisco delegation: me, Senator Scott Wiener and Assemblymember Matt Haney. Location will be provided to marchers at the end of the parade.
