Join Me at My Upcoming Events

It's hard to believe Fall is just about here. I have scheduled two events that I hope you can attend. It'll give us a chance to catch up on what I've recently accomplished in Sacramento.

I strongly encourage you to take public transit, walk or bike to these events.

Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival

Supervisor Connie Chan and I are hosting this year's Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival. It's a time to reflect upon the bounty of the summer harvest, the fullness of the moon, and the myth of the immortal moon Goddess, Chang-O. Autumn Moon Festivals are often considered a "Chinese Thanksgiving" because gratitude and the inclusion of abundant food - including the popular moon cake - lie at the center of these celebrations.

Saturday, September 17
11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Clement Street
Between Seventh & Tenth Avenues

This event is co-hosted by the Richmond Neighborhood Center, the Clement Street Merchants Association and the Community Youth Center. Big thanks to them and our business sponsors for their generosity in helping to bring our community together.

Outdoor Community Breakfast and Town Hall

The legislative year just ended. As Assembly Budget Chair, I successfully championed some historic and transformative investments that I'd love to share with you. I also want to tell you about some of my legislation that'll go into effect soon, including those that strengthen gun safety, social equity, environmental protections and more. You must RSVP to attend and include your contact information.

Saturday, October 1
10 - 11:30 a.m.

California Academy of Sciences*
55 Music Concourse Drive
San Francisco, CA
Outdoors on the East Patio

*Please note: California Academy of Sciences has safety protocols regarding vaccine and booster requirements and masking that attendees must follow, visit their website to learn more. If you have a medical or religious exemption to vaccines, please send documentation of your exemption to Legal@calacademy.org no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2022, and include "Vaccination Exemption Request" in the subject line.

I hope to see you at one or even both events to answer your questions and listen to your ideas about how the state of California can further help our community. As always, it is a privilege to be your Assemblymember.
