It's Time To Vote

The California Primary is June 7. Under our new California Voter Choice Act, every registered voter is sent a ballot in the mail. Many of you have probably already received it.

If you are not registered to vote, please register here before the May 23 deadline to ensure you receive a mail-in ballot on time. You can also use that same link to check your registration status or change your information.

Mail-In Ballots

To avoid crowds and ensure your ballot is received well before Election Day, I recommend filling it out and returning it as soon as you can via:

  • US Mail: Take it to a post office or mailbox; your ballot must be postmarked no later than June 7. No postage necessary.
  • Drop-Off Locations Up to Election Day at 8 p.m.: Bring to any of the locations listed here.

Either way, you can track your ballot's journey here.

Early In-Person Voting

Even though you received a mail-in ballot, in-person voting is still an option, especially if you need physical assistance or want to use accessible voting equipment. The closest option to our district that's open now is the South San Francisco Main Library at 840 West Orange Avenue. It's open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including Memorial Day, May 30. More early voting locations will open in our district towards the end of the month in Daly City and Colma, as well as additional sites in South Francisco. A complete list can be found here.

Election Day, June 7th

On Election Day, June 7, you can vote in-person or drop off your mail-in ballot at any Vote Center in San Mateo County. If you haven't registered to vote by the May 23 deadline, you can conditionally register and cast a provisional ballot on Election Day. A complete list of Vote Centers are listed here.

Be sure to make your voice heard and vote. If you have any questions, please visit the San Mateo County Elections Office website or call my district office at 415-557-2312. We are happy to serve you.
