Voting matters. Election Day is an opportunity to have your voice heard. With your ballot, you can elect leaders to represent you. You can also decide the fate of numerous initiatives that touch on important issues, such as education funding, abortion rights, gambling expansion and the environment. There are also local measures you can weigh in on.
The deadline to register to vote for the November election is this Monday, October 24. If you haven't done so or need to check your status, click here.
Otherwise, you can register to vote in person and cast a provisional ballot:
- Now through Tuesday, November 8:
San Francisco City Hall Vote Center
1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place
Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Weekends (October 29-30 & November 5-6): 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Election Day (November 8): 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Register to vote at your polling place and cast a provisional ballot.
For those already registered to vote, you may have already received your ballot. After filling it out and signing it, you can mail it or put it in any of the 34 Official Drop Boxes located throughout the City.
