Important Update: SNAP Benefits and Local Food Resources
Dear Neighbor,
Because of the ongoing federal government shutdown, millions of Californians are expected to lose access to their SNAP (CalFresh) benefits this November. It’s unacceptable that working families, seniors, and individuals who depend on these essential benefits are being left in limbo because of Washington’s failure to act. No one should go hungry because Congress can’t do its job.
Here in San Francisco, thanks to a local public-private partnership with Crankstart, residents will continue receiving SNAP support through November. For San Mateo County residents — and any San Franciscans in need — my office has compiled a list of local food resources available below.
If you or someone you know needs help accessing food, please don’t hesitate to contact my office at (415) 557-2312 or Assemblymember.Stefani@Assembly.ca.gov. We’ll continue to do everything we can locally to make sure no one in our community goes hungry during this unnecessary and preventable crisis.
Sincerely,

Catherine Stefani
