Join me at my next outdoor Community Town Hall, which will be held at the California Academy of Sciences on Saturday, October 1 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. We can discuss my recent legislation signed by the Governor and the many highlights of this year's historic state budget. For our district, I was able to secure nearly $57 million for several community projects throughout San Francisco and northern San Mateo County.
As we ramp up for the next legislative year, please also share your concerns and ideas regarding what leaders can further do to move our state forward.
Town halls are a unique opportunity to connect in person, and everyone is welcome. Invite your friends and neighbors. There will be free breakfast provided at no taxpayer expense for the first 100 attendees, so please RSVP here. You can check in as early as 9:30 on Saturday.
I highly encourage you to use public transit or active transportation, such as biking and walking. The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival will be at the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park all weekend. Plan your travel accordingly. The town hall is accessible via MUNI lines: 44 O'Shaughnessy, 5 Fulton, 7 Haight and N Judah. Bike parking is located on Music Concourse Drive.
Please note: California Academy of Sciences has safety protocols regarding vaccine and booster requirements, as well as rules on masking that attendees must follow. Visit their website to learn more. If you have a medical or religious exemption to vaccines, please send documentation of your exemption to Legal@calacademy.org no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2022, and include "Vaccination Exemption Request" in the subject line.
